18 Picks from the Nordstrom 2018 Anniversary Sale

The Nordstrom sale is my favorite sale of the year.  First of all, fall is my favorite season so I am always excited to buy new clothes for colder weather.  Secondly, the items are new to Nordstrom.  It’s not like other sales where everything has been picked over and only certain sizes and colors remain.  Thirdly, I have purchased some awesome items from this sale over the years including a pair of Kut from the Kloth jeans that I wore until they had giant holes in them and a faux leather jacket that I wore until it was falling apart.

My strategy is to look at as much as I can online on the first day of early access.  I add everything I like to my cart, then I consider all the items I have picked.  Some items are deleted because I found better options and some items are saved for later.  I try to place an order (or two) on the first day because some items are definitely going to sell out quickly.  Sometimes, I will go to the store within the first few days of the sale, but the last 2 or 3 years I have made all my purchases online.  I have a few familiar brands that I buy from Nordstrom, so I already know about the size and quality without a trip to the mall.

It’s important for me not to get starry eyed over the prices and newness since I have an almost full closet, so taking the time to think over my online purchases stops me from having buyer’s remorse.

Here are some of my picks from the sale.  The only item I would not wear is the red jacket because red is not a good color on me.  I liked the jacket so much that I decided to include it anyway.
