For those of you who did not see my previous post, my mother died in November. I wrote this poem for her to be included in her obituary.
Memories of Mommy
Memories float back
And feel crushing
At times
Sunlight in the backyard
Surrounded by flowers
Disco dance parties
Birthday celebrations
And countless meals
Watching Miss Fisher
Making crafts
Telling Stories and
Walking down the beach
Memories float back
And feel crushing
At times
But a beautiful experience
Nevertheless.
