A Poem – Week Forty-Seven

I spent a lot of time in 1996 writing about imaginary relationships. Here’s another one and I won’t promise you there will not be more. If I could time travel… I would hug my mother and tell her how much I love her and buy a bunch of clothes and discontinued snacks because priorities…

Question: If you could time travel to the 1990s, what would you do?

Goodbye

I just wondered

Where you have been

When you disappeared

Like a summer wind

Days and nights pass

Time goes by

And I still wonder

Why did you make me cry?

Did you ever love me?

If you did

I could never see

You didn’t support me

But I still miss your kiss

And there are other things

That I will forever miss

Even though you were wrong

When you left without a goodbye

I will always love you

Even though you made me cry.
