A Poem – Week Fifty-One

‘Here’s a poem from July 13, 1997 about an imaginary jerk.

Of Missing Person

He’s of missing person

He’s out of my life

He says I can’t control him

Because I’m not his wife

It’s been almost a year

Since he walked out the door

When he shattered my heart

When he said he doesn’t love me anymore.

He’s of missing person

Since he said that

He doesn’t care

He’s out of my life now

Because love he doesn’t share

He doesn’t care about me

And the places we’ve been

He doesn’t miss the love

That I had for him within.

He’s of missing person

Since I love him so

He’s of missing person

That I can’t let go.
