A Poem #6

Here’s a seasonally appropriate poem from around 1994.

Fall

With a sudden breeze you come around

And shock and surprise me

Where has summer gone?

I think

Because it is now fall

It’s time for the tall

and small

Tree leaves to turn yellow, orange and gold

And start to release all the beauty fall holds

I look around at all the blooming flowers

So pretty and true

With a beautiful fall like this I’ll never be blue

As long as fall is around

When the snow comes abound

And the winter is cold and hard

Nothing can be seen not even someone’s yard

I will think of what a fall you have been

And now I shall bring this poem to an end.

  1. So true – and a good one. I prefer autumn to all seasons, with spring as second best. Winter, like you said, is cold and hard.
Glad to see you around. I sent you an email a while back, I’m wondering if you got it? If not, let me know and I’ll resend it.
