A Poem # 31

This is another one of those heart broken poems, written on November 29, 2001. My poems weren’t necessarily about a romantic relationship ending, but something painful and disappointing. I really love the imagery in this one.

When Love Finds Another

Molten lava tears fall upon

The cold cement floor

And silence echoes

Behind heavy stone doors

The ocean crashes,

But it can’t find the sand.

Billions are existent.

Few will understand.

Pain is incomparable.

Dark clouds hover above.

The heart is heavy like steel

When one loses their love.
