A Poem # 44

Here’s a poem that I wrote in 1994. This is one of those that still resonates with me.

“Get On With Your Life”

Turn over the old dirt

Start with the fresh and new

“Get on with your life”

People tell me

But I can’t not without you

Get away from the past

Your life is today

Not yesterday

With the bad feelings

I have left behind

I have to let this out my my heart

And out of my soul

At last

I hate to go on without you

Without you I am lost and scared

But sooner or later

I have to start with the new

With or without you.
