This poem, which was written on July 12, 1997, is about looking for a metaphorical summer.

Searching for Summer
We are searching for summer
Around every corner
And down every street
Looking for something more
Whenever we meet
We are looking for something
More than a lover or friend
We are searching for summer
That we don’t want to end
We don’t want a sizzle
We are looking for a fire
We are looking for the heat
To fulfill our desires
We are past the cold winter
And are through with spring
We are searching for summer
To give us everything
When we find our summer
It will be forever
We searched for summer
And we found it together.

This reads like a coming of age film on Netflix. Well done.
